NYK Line has announced the commencement of its new West India-North Asia (WIN) service. Connecting India and China, two of the world's fastest growing economies, it provides direct and dedicated coverage from West India to East China through a fixed weekly service and turnaround time of 35 days.
Five 3,000-TEU vessels are deployed on the route, three operated by NYK and one each by EMS and Hanjin.
The port rotation is as follows:
WB-Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav
EB-Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo
According to a release, the WIN service emphasises NYK's continuous endeavour to cater to enhanced customer requirements by offering excellent transit times on the China-India trade lane.
The service also offers wide coverage of the South-East China markets via Pusan, Shanghai and Ningbo, with focus on achieving superior supply chain efficiency and helping reduce overheads for customers.
The first vessel on this service sailed from Pusan on October 29 and is scheduled to make its maiden call at GTI (JN Port) on November 17.
